What's New: New Drug Pages & Clearer Results
Six new drug pages — including a breast-cancer drug the FDA approved this month — two more mechanism hubs, results that now show you why each trial matched, and stronger privacy protections.
Six New Drug Pages
If you've heard about a specific drug and want to know which trials are actively recruiting for it, the drug catalog gained six new pages this month — each showing how the drug works, its recruiting trials grouped by cancer, and the trial names you can search to read further.
The headline addition is timely: gedatolisib (brand name Revtorpyk) was approved by the FDA on July 14, 2026, and its page went up the same cycle. It's a first-in-class drug that blocks the PI3K/AKT/mTOR growth pathway at several points at once, approved for HR-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer that is PIK3CA wild-type — roughly 60% of patients in that setting, a group that until now had no targeted option for this pathway (the earlier drugs only work in tumors that carry a PIK3CA mutation). If that describes your situation, the page lays out the recruiting trials and how it differs from the mutation-only options.
The other five pages cover established, biomarker-defined therapies where knowing the drug name is often the fastest way in:
- Vorasidenib (Voranigo) — an IDH inhibitor for IDH-mutant low-grade glioma (a type of brain tumor)
- Belzutifan (Welireg) — the first-in-class HIF-2α inhibitor for advanced kidney cancer and von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease
- Zanidatamab (Ziihera) — a HER2-targeted bispecific antibody for HER2-positive biliary tract and gastroesophageal cancers
- Zolbetuximab (Vyloy) — the first CLDN18.2-targeted antibody, for CLDN18.2-positive gastric and gastroesophageal-junction cancer
- Zanzalintinib — a next-generation multikinase inhibitor (a successor to cabozantinib) in trials across kidney, colorectal, and head & neck cancers

Two More Mechanism Hubs — Now 12
Alongside browsing by cancer type or by drug, you can also browse by mechanism — how a treatment works — where each hub gathers every active trial for a whole drug class, across cancers, and explains the class in plain language. Two new hubs launched in July, bringing the set to twelve:
- B7-H3 (CD276) Targeted Therapies — antibody-drug conjugates and other agents against B7-H3, a target found across many solid tumors including lung, prostate, and pediatric cancers
- KRAS & Neoantigen Cancer Vaccines — the emerging vaccine approach that trains the immune system against KRAS mutations and other tumor-specific neoantigens, in trials for pancreatic, colorectal, and lung cancers

Matching by Biomarker, Not Just Your Diagnosis
The biggest matching change this month is easy to miss but genuinely important: the best trial for you increasingly doesn't have your cancer's name on it. Many modern targeted therapies are tested in "basket" trials that enroll by a molecular target — a specific mutation or protein — across many cancer types at once. A search by cancer name alone walks right past them.
ClinTrialFinder now matches by the molecule on top of the usual diagnosis-based search. When you tell the wizard about a biomarker your tumor carries, it looks for biomarker-matched trials across cancers — and any that fit are flagged on your results with a cross-cancer badge, so you can tell at a glance when a trial listed under a different cancer might still be an option for you. Under the hood, your confirmed biomarkers are now carried directly into that search, so the right trials for your mutation surface more reliably.

Results That Show You Why
Alongside better matching, the results themselves got more transparent. When your results come back, each trial now carries short, plain-language tags explaining why it surfaced for you — and, where relevant, what to be cautious about — instead of just a score. The goal is that you can see the reasoning, not just trust a number.
Location filtering is clearer, too. If you set a country and it narrows your results, the page now tells you that plainly — so a short list reads as "few trials in your location," not "few trials exist."
Smarter Matching for Complex Cases
Several changes aren't visible as new pages but make the matching itself more accurate, especially for the harder profiles:
- Better ordering for heavily-pretreated patients. If you've been through multiple lines of therapy, trials targeting the specific markers your tumor expresses now rank higher rather than getting buried under standard-of-care studies.
- Your treatment status and comorbidities shape the results. Details like whether your disease is newly diagnosed, in remission, or recurrent — and other health conditions you report, such as heart disease — now feed into the safety cautions shown on each trial.
- Pasted summaries work better. If you paste a free-text summary of your history instead of using the step-by-step questions, the system now pulls more structure out of it for matching.
Your Privacy, Strengthened
Because searches involve sensitive medical details, a few July changes went into how that information is handled:
- No medical details left in the AI processing cache. Personal health information is now stripped or encrypted before anything is cached, with a short automatic expiry.
- Clearer privacy disclosures. The privacy policy now spells out exactly which service providers process your data, and our How It Works page explains the matching methodology in more depth.
- Hardened infrastructure. Behind the scenes, we tightened webhook authentication, file permissions, and other server safeguards.
Smaller Improvements
- Easier to start a search. Every disease page now has a prominent "Find Matching Trials" button at the top — and a button that follows along as you scroll — so you're never more than a tap from starting a search, no matter how far down the page you've read.
- Smoother handoff to your results. When a search finishes, the transition from the progress screen to your results page is now seamless.
- Mobile polish. Another pass over the homepage and layouts tightened things up on phones.
- Drug evidence on trial pages. Trial detail pages can now surface general evidence about the drugs being studied, drawn from related research.
- Enriched navigation. The top bar now links directly to Mechanisms, Drugs, Diseases, Blog, and About from every page.
